8 managed TV boxes with a clean home screen, voice, and a help assistant that only does TV
Stock streaming boxes turned into managed devices: no ads on the home screen, signed in as their person, and fixable remotely.

01 / Problem
What wasn't working.
Retail TV boxes ship with an ad-filled home screen and settings anyone can break. Support meant driving to the box.
02 / Approach
What I built.
- 01
Replaced the home screen with a managed launcher. Device-owner lockdown, then moved into the same MDM as the phones.
- 02
Boxes sign in automatically as their person.
- 03
The remote's mic sends speech into any app.
- 04
A help assistant on the TV that can only do TV things: fix it or open a ticket.
03 / Architecture
How the pieces connect.
04 / Result
TV boxes locked down, signed in, and voice enabled. 8 boxes managed alongside the rest of the fleet. The TV assistant passes 65 of 65 test questions. One early lockdown hid system settings and bricked all 8; all 8 were recovered and the rule is now never hide system settings.
Clean home screen
Only the apps that person uses. No ads.
Voice
Remote mic works in every app.
TV-only assistant
Scoped to TV problems. Escalates to a ticket.
Remote support
Fixed from the office, not the living room.
